Music scene has lost one of the bands whose songs left a lasting mark. Worldwide Irish pop-rock band, Kodaline, has made an announcement that shocked the whole internet. Through their Instagram page, Kodaline decided to disband as a band after a decade of journey.

Prepping the final album
This sudden decision has left the fans feeling mixed. Although the decision is final, lot of fans are still hoping for at least a farewell tour. The comments section on Kodaline’s Instagram is also filled with questions about the reasons behind this decision.
In their farewell announcement video, The Irish pop-rock band expressed their joy to do shows across the world. The members also being grateful to have their music loved by so many. Likewise, fans also expressed their deepest affection for them.
Many touching responses such as “you have changed my life” and “thank you for the memories” poured in the comment section.
”So, before officially calling it quits, Kodaline put together their fifth album as a farewell gift for their fans.”
Indonesia forever had a special place
The interesting part is that the band actually has a close bond with Indonesia. Kodaline has performed several times in various cities in Indonesia, such as Jakarta and Bandung. The Dublin boys even became one of the headliners at Soundrenaline 2023.
Not only that, Kodaline still has a story that remains in the hearts of fans, especially in Indonesia. The music video for Ready To Change, one of their songs, was filmed in Jakarta. The video clip was released December 17th, 2017, nearly 8 years ago.
Majority of the clip portrays the atmosphere of our typical neighborhood. We also could see the members singing with the happy faces of the locals glancing. This unique aspect ultimately made Indonesia part of Kodaline’s remarkable journey in the music industry.
While the release date is still under wraps, one lyric from “All I Want” captures the mood perfectly:
“When you said your last goodbye, I died a little bit inside.” For many fans, it now feels more personal than ever.
