  • Upcoming Korean Movie ”Good News” Coming to Netflix on October 17

    Netflix continues to bring Korean films that have good potential of making hit. From ‘Parasite’, ‘Alive,’ to ‘Balerina’, these Korean films have been everyone watch list on this OTT platform. On October 17, another blockbuster movie titled ‘Good News’ will set the debut.

    Inspired by real life story

    Set in 1970, this movie will narrate the hijacking of an airplane, which the pilot still attempts to land. The plot involves a terrorist group called the Red Army Faction hijacking a civilian flight. This dangerous group forces the plane to fly to Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, from Japan, along with all the innocent onboard.

    The conflict will continue to grow with time. Things such as mysterious figure Ah-Moo Gae, and the shortage of a proper runway will haunt for 136-minutes long. Basically, ‘Good News’ depicts how propaganda works accompanied by black comedy satire.

    ”Intriguingly, this Byun Sung-Hyun movie is based on a true story. The incident itself is known as the Yodogo hijacking, which involved the Japanese communist group Red Army Faction.”

    Good way to end October

    As a quick reminder, Good News will be released on Friday, October 17 on Netflix. You’ll see famous actors like Sul Kyung Gu and Park Hae Soo from ‘Squid Game’ on screen in this fresh Mystery/Comedy/Thriller movie. Before airing on Netflix, this film was first screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival.

    The reception was reportedly positive, making this Korean movie a guaranteed exciting show. I mean, it’s gonna be the best way to end October while grabbing some popcorn at home, right?

  • Patrick Kluivert Dismissed as Indonesia’s Head Coach

    After almost a year, the Dutch coach is officially no longer in charge of the national team. Through official PSSI statement, both parties agreed to end their partnership. Is this the perfect ending?

    Departs with a lackluster reputation

    Shocking news for Indonesian football came today. Not long after failing to advance to round 5 disappointment, PSSI delivered another breaking report. Patrick Kluivert, Indonesia’s National Team Head Coach, has officially ended his journey with the Garuda since his first arrival in January 2025.

    ‘‘The termination of this partnership was carried out based on mutual agreement between both parties, taking into consideration internal dynamics and the strategic direction of the national team going forward,” said PSSI on its official statement.”

    In fact, Kluivert’s contract is still valid until 2027, with an option to extend for another two years. However, he only managed the national team for eight matches. This sudden decision is said to be the result of the Indonesian national team’s failure to advance to the next round.

    The departure of the 49-year-old coach is also very depressing, as he failed to meet expectations. He holds the hope of keeping Indonesia’s dream alive of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Three wins, one draw, and four losses were achieved by Patrick out of eight total games.

  • Murphy Radio and How Math Rock Portrays Heartbreak

    Ever seen the words “Murphy Radio” written on someone else’s shirt somewhere? Well, it was actually a math rock band. Perhaps you’re still not familiar with it: this genre is currently all over the internet.

    Where it all started

    Murphy Radio’s long journey began when it was first formed in 2012. Now, the band has been around for over a decade and still continues to deliver music. Origin of ‘Murphy Radio‘ name was actually inspired by a line from an Indian movie called ‘Barfi’.

    The original members at that time were Wendra, Aldi Yamin, and Akbartus Ponganan. However, Akbartus left the band in 2017 and was replaced by Aswin Winata as drummer. Aswin eventually became a full-time member and still remains active until now.

    ”Besides line-up changes, the band also explored few genres before finally settled on math rock as their main course.”

    Math rock: the new relationship anthem

    The Samarinda-based band is currently the hottest topic around in the scene. And with good reason: they have over 100,000 listeners on Spotify. Their hit song called ‘Graduation Song’, has even reached over 2 million listeners so far.

    Unlike the title, the song actually discusses how two people who resist welcoming separation. This tragic tale opens with a melodic groove and drum beat that follows in the very first minute. In several TikTok videos, ‘Graduation Song’ became karaoke anthem that everyone sing out loud.

    ”Lyrics such as “How do we get through it all?” and “With long enough time no one can refuse separation” seem to represent the complicated situation of romance.”

    Since there is no official explanation of the meaning, everyone has their own perspective. Some say that ‘Graduation Song’ is a symbol of major changes in life and fear of uncertainty. Yet, it is indeed great when a song can be interpreted differently by each listener.

    Another song titled “Penghujung Cerita” which means ”The End of the Story” also narrate a farewell. Moreover, the artwork for this song depicts a bird that fly freely. Seems that it was a symbol of letting go all the beautiful chapter that has been closed.

    Celebrate pain without tears

    The math rock fever doesn’t stop there. Another song from Eleventwelfth, titled “Your Head as My Favorite Bookstore,” also became a fan favorite. The music video was even streamed 1.9 million times on YouTube. We can see how math rock is now getting a spot among mainstream audiences.

    Or the song by Hulica, “An Imperfect Mangrove Part I,” which captures the essence of mourning. The lines describe how the pain is felt, along with the wish of being together again. However, if the conditions not possible, the song just letting us drown in unanswerable questions.

    Electronic Arts has released their latest flagship first-person shooter game, Battlefield 6, on October 10, 2025. The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows. So, what’s the details behind the latest successor of the ‘Battlefield’ franchise?

    Story campaign and game modes

    The newest addition to the Battlefield franchise can be played with a single narrative campaign. This marks the end of the “War Stories” campaign, which was introduced in the prior Battlefield series. Moreover with the returning single narrative, EA has extra gifts for franchise lovers in the multiplayer mode.

    The multiplayer mode offers four character classes: assault, engineer, support, and recon. Fans can also enjoy the popular modes such as Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush, etc. A new mode called Escalation also added where teams compete to maintain points that drop along with time.

    Meanwhile, the main plot will portray the journey of protagonists Marine Unit Dagger 13 as they face off against Pax Armata. They are a military organization that poses a serious threat and has the ability to throw the world into chaos.The world is also set in the year 2027-2028 in the distant future with NATO on the decline.

    ”The conflict began after the NATO Secretary General was killed by Pax Armata organization. Twelve different countries then supported the antagonist, causing an unavoidable warfare.”

    6.5 million copies sold already

    Battlefield 6 recent launch has been positively received by the public. Reports from several sources claimed that the game has sold 6.5 million copies in just a few days. Additionally, this huge amount of number is also estimated to generate approximately $350 million.

    Another impressive milestone is that Battlefield 6 is now the biggest game in the franchise on Steam, with over 700,000 concurrent players. This number also surpassed the record of 624,000 concurrent players set by another EA game, Apex Legends.

    Die-hard fans of the global ‘Game of Thrones’ series have just received exciting update. HBO has officially announced a new spinoff series, ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.’ Here’s the complete breakdown:

    Prequel of Game of Thrones

    In case you are wondering, ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ will be a prequel to the famous ‘Game of Thrones’. This story is once again created by George R.R. Martin along with Ira Parker. The casting process was held in 2021, and production took place in June 2024.

    The prequel will capture the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall and Aegon V Targaryen from the Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas by George R. R. Martin. This new tale will be set 90 years before ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ series. So, it’s obvious that the characters are quite different from what we have seen in ‘Game of Thrones’.

    ”Still, we can see some familiar sights like Westeros, Targaryen dynasty, and the magnificent Iron Throne.”

    ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ airing date

    The series will be available to watch on January 18, 2026 on HBO Max. HBO revealed it in a trailer published on various social media platforms, including Instagram and YouTube. The trailer itself is 2 minutes and 33 seconds long and was released on October 10, 2025.

    In the trailer, we get to see the main character Duncan the Tall, played by Peter Claffey. We also could see other important characters like Prince Aerion Targaryen, Tanselle, and Prince Aegon Targaryen aka ‘Egg’. Make sure you ready to witness another masterpiece from George R.R. Martin in early next year.

  • Milwaukee Bucks Sign Alex Antetokounmpo on a Two-Way Deal

    After reuniting with Thanasis, the Bucks brought in another member of the Antetokounmpo brothers. The youngest brother, Alex Antetokounmpo, joined the team. The 24-year-old will join his older siblings, Giannis and Thanasis in the 2025-2026 season.

    Alex’s arrival was announced on social media via ESPN ‘s Shams Charania’s page. Shams said that Alex Antetokounmpo signed a two-way contract with the Bucks. He fills the spot left open by Jamaree Bouyea, who was waived by the Bucks.

    Alex decided to pursue a career in Europe after went undrafted in 2021. Before joining Cream City, Alex played for European clubs, such as PAOK, Podgorica and Aris. However, during his last stint with Aris, he only appeared in two official matches.

    He then returned to the United States to join the G League team, Wisconsin Herd. This team is actually affiliated with the Milwaukee Bucks. The 6-foot-8 small forward was also part of the team from 2022 to 2024.

    Bucks effort to keep Giannis?

    The poor results over the past few seasons making the speculation even more serious . Shams even mentioned that Giannis has chosen New York Knicks as his destination if he ever leaves. Well, on the other hand, Giannis has never openly addressed the particular rumor.

    The two-time NBA MVP only mentioned that he is confident in his teammate this season. However, no one knows what will happen in the next 6-7 months, he said. This puts his future with the team he has played for since 2013 in a major doubt.

  • Kodaline Disbanded After Decade of Hits

    Music scene has lost one of the bands whose songs left a lasting mark. Worldwide Irish pop-rock band, Kodaline, has made an announcement that shocked the whole internet. Through their Instagram page, Kodaline decided to disband as a band after a decade of journey.

    Prepping the final album

    This sudden decision has left the fans feeling mixed. Although the decision is final, lot of fans are still hoping for at least a farewell tour. The comments section on Kodaline’s Instagram is also filled with questions about the reasons behind this decision.

    In their farewell announcement video, The Irish pop-rock band expressed their joy to do shows across the world. The members also being grateful to have their music loved by so many. Likewise, fans also expressed their deepest affection for them.

    Many touching responses such as “you have changed my life” and “thank you for the memories” poured in the comment section.

    ”So, before officially calling it quits, Kodaline put together their fifth album as a farewell gift for their fans.”

    Indonesia forever had a special place

    The interesting part is that the band actually has a close bond with Indonesia. Kodaline has performed several times in various cities in Indonesia, such as Jakarta and Bandung. The Dublin boys even became one of the headliners at Soundrenaline 2023.

    Not only that, Kodaline still has a story that remains in the hearts of fans, especially in Indonesia. The music video for Ready To Change, one of their songs, was filmed in Jakarta. The video clip was released December 17th, 2017, nearly 8 years ago.

    Majority of the clip portrays the atmosphere of our typical neighborhood. We also could see the members singing with the happy faces of the locals glancing. This unique aspect ultimately made Indonesia part of Kodaline’s remarkable journey in the music industry.

  • RRQ’s Hopes For Making It Through MPL ID Season 16 Playoffs

    One of the biggest teams in the MLBB scene, RRQ Hoshi, is in serious danger of not making the playoffs. ‘The King of Kings’ has only managed five wins and nine losses so far. Then, is there any chance of making the playoffs?

    New players arrival

    RRQ started the campaign with several player changes. Zunesh and Rezzz were added as new players to replace Sutsujin and Dyrennn spot. But, the arrival of both is quite contradictory, considering the team’s impressive run last season.

    In the first match, RRQ defeated AE with a score of 2-1. However, in the next match, the team had to admit Geek Fam’s strength with a score of 2-0. The team’s performance remained inconsistent until week 6, where they lost twice to ONIC and BTR. This was their first losing streak, which resulted in severe criticism from their fans.

    ‘”Halfway through the season, Zunesh was replaced again by Sutsujin. Unfortunately, his presence was not enough to lift RRQ to a safe position.”

    The #7 curse haunted ‘The Kings of Kings’

    Moreover, RRQ still suffered defeats in weeks 6 and 7. This winless streak caused them to fall to 7th place, a very fragile spot. This is because the bottom three teams (out of nine) are guaranteed to miss the playoffs.

    The poor performance of the midlaner, Rinz, also made him the target of anger. Fans began to bring Rinz’s famous statement, “don’t be easily ganked,” back to himself. Fans also reminded Rinz that he could be better than his current form, as they wish it could return before it’s getting too late.

    ”The curse of the #7 spot, which had always been pointed at its arch-rival, EVOS, now had to be taken by RRQ. Now, RRQ is in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time in its history.”

    Hope still lives on!

    Throughout the season, RRQ also seemed confused about deciding on their starting 5-man lineup. Dyrennn occasionally replaced Rezzz, but they still couldn’t secure a victory. Finally, RRQ announced that Ferxiic had joined the team after previously being inactive.

    Ferxiic’s arrival to fill Sutsujin’s position in week 8 has yet to show any signs of improvement. The decision is considered unclear, given that the most criticized spot is the midlane. Defeats to EVOS and GEEK in week 8 have left RRQ in a very tough position.

    In the match against DEWA, RRQ won the game with a score of 2-0. This instantly reignited the players’ enthusiasm to escape the grip of poor results. RRQ needs to sweep two more wins next week to ensure that there will be no shameful chapter in their journey this season.

    Crushed in Round 4, Is This Expected?

    The Indonesian national team began their campaign in a group with Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Indonesia’s main target was to at least secure second spot if they couldn’t win the group. Many believed that Indonesia could at least win or steal points from Saudi Arabia, who they had beaten 2-0 in Jakarta a while before.

    If the plan successful, Indonesia’s chances of qualifying directly for the World Cup or advancing to Round 5 are wide open.

    ”As a serious commitment, PSSI added another naturalized player, Mauro Zijlstra and Miliano Jonathans. The arrival of both of them is expected to have an instant impact, bringing Garuda closer to the dream.”

    Unfortunately, Indonesia suffered a harsh 2-3 defeat in their first match against Saudi Arabia. What’s make people disappointed was the Garuda’s performance are below their best. Players such as Marc Klok, Beckham Putra, and Yakob Sayuri were openly criticized.

    Furthermore, the coach’s decision regarding player composition raised big questions. As Yakob Sayuri, who originally played right wing, was placed at right back. This resulted in several Saudi Arabia goals coming from Yakob’s side.

    In a do-or-die match against Iraq, Indonesia actually took control of the game and created several chances. Nevertheless, Indonesia suffered a 1-0 defeat due to Zidane Iqbal’s lone goal in the 76th minute. Kudos to all the players and staff for their efforts in making it this far.

    Patrick Kluivert’s Future Remains Uncertain

    After failing to take the national team further, Patrick Kluivert’s position as coach is once again being questioned. This is especially brought after his predecessor, Shin Tae-Yong, was surprisingly fired after maintain the team staying on track. Now, the public considers it unfair if Patrick is not fired after having unfavorable results.

    However, Patrick said that the Indonesian team played better in the match, but unfortunately the outcome did not seem to reflect the same thing. On the other hand, some point the finger more at Erick Thohir, PSSI Chairman, and the Federation for making major changes midway through the process.

    Quirky yet honest songs

    The Bekasi-based teenage punk trio: Mahes, Jalil, and Bumbum first gained attention when clips of their performances were posted on the internet. Their most famous song titled “Maling,” which stands to thief, instantly received positive responses. Thanks to its explosive chorus and the band’s interactive action of inviting the audience to shout “Maling” together.

    The vocalist, Mahes, once said that the inspiration for their silly tracks comes from his own experiences and his friends. Not only ‘Maling’, but other songs like ‘Kebelet’,‘Ke Pasar Bareng Emak’, and ‘Toilet Sekolah’ also sound very unique. Track ‘Kebelet’ as an example, which tells the story of Mahes’ experience at school when he wanted permission to go to the bathroom but was only given 3 seconds by his teacher. As a result, Mahes hurriedly left the class and while on his way to the toilet, this song suddenly came to his mind.

    ”While the majority of lyrics and song titles nowadays are written meaningfully, Sukses Lancar Rejeki chooses a simple way to represent their teenage moments.”

    Can you guess where they first met?

    Unlike most bands formed among school or college friends, SLR took a unique path. In an interview on VINDES YouTube, the trio—Mahes, Jalil, and Bumbum—revealed they met at an Islamic boarding school. Their parents had known each other for years, a bond later shared by their kids.

    Even though they grew up in different schools, the three members remained close due to their long-lasting chemistry. The trio also have a studio called ‘Studimo’ which means Studio Musholla, where they practice as a band and also hold religious gatherings there.

    So, despite their active lives of music and academics, the members never overlook God’s presence in all of their efforts. This particular side appears to be present in all aspects of Sukses Lancar Rejeki, which may indicate this is the driving force for their recent success.

    Still a long long way to go

    The fact that all of the members of this band are under the age of 20 is what makes it so interesting. Mahes, the vocalist, is fifteen years old and in his first year of high school. Bumbum, the drummer, is 16 years old and attends second-year of high school. The bassist, Jalil, is the oldest member and still only at 17 years old.

    Furthermore, huge potential and the positive’s reaction to this Bekasi punk trio has made their journey remains prolonged. The concept of Sukses Lancar Rejeki, which translates as “Smooth Success Fortune,” has turned into a reality.

    ”The sincerity in the lyrical structure, song titles, and music video concepts has ultimately become a signature of Sukses Lancar Rejeki. Currently, many consider SLR, their acronym, to be the next major thing in the music scene.”
