    Emotional gold winning moment

    At the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand, the internet went into full hype mode over Basral Graito Hutomo, an Indonesian skateboarder who secured the gold medal. Born in 2007, Basral couldn’t hold back his emotions during the final, defining moment of the competition.

    In the final best trick round, Basral pulled off a notoriously difficult trick with flawless precision. The moment he landed it, emotions overwhelmed him, and he was visibly moved to tears.     ”Long before the medals and viral moments, he was already known in the scene, and the wins followed naturally. Over the years, he’s stacked up trophies from some seriously legit competitions.”

    Basral has been part of skate culture for as long as anyone can remember. He won the Indonesia Open X-Sport Championship in 2019, putting himself on the local skate map. Then in 2024, Basral then went global, taking the top spot at The Bunt Jam in Melbourne, one of the most respected skate contests in the world.
