Indonesian women tennis player Janice Tjen just put Indonesia on the global stage again. The 23-year-old star claimed the Hobart International 2026 title on Saturday. So, how did Janice’s journey unfold, and what did it take for her to secure this impressive victory?
Competed in the women’s doubles
Janice competed in the women’s doubles event, was teaming up with Poland’s Katarzyna Piter. The duo officially took the court at the WTA 250 Hobart International that held in Australia.
Their run through the tournament was nothing short of impressive. In the round of 16, Janice/Piter faced Australia’s Osborne/Da Silva Fick. The result came out on top for them in a three-set battle, 3-6, 6-4, 10-5.
Next up, in the quarterfinals, they went head-to-head with Ninomiya/Kichenok and again clinched victory in three sets. Then, in the semifinals, the Indonesian-Polish pair faced Hozumi/Wu and won in straight sets.
